I will often go down rabbit holes to mockup a new species relevant to a particular point I want to hit, often in a way that deviates from how things are dealt with irl (usually abhorrence of current industrial practices) or just cause I want something interesting.

me now: but she's so SMALL and it's so COLD what if she's COLD

nori says thank you to my ko-fi patrons bc they allowed me to get her new sweaters, a nice harness, & toys for her to play with when her mouth is fully healed 🥰 rn she's having some tummy issues switching back to regular kibble after 3wks of wet food post-dental surgery, but it should clear up soon!

you don't need to prove your disability level to anyone, not even yourself, and you deserve to let yourself enjoy a better quality of life! i know sometimes these changes feel like a very heavy confirmation of just how much our life has been impacted, but they also help a lot 💗

totally get the impostor syndrome feeling 🫂 it doesn't help that we're used to the pain so we start wondering if it's just us overreacting, when really most people never have to deal with this

god yeah same for me pre-covid. but i feel like i'm beginning to forget large parts of myself from before the diagnosis. i try to take it with equanimity but it's hard not to resent those changes :(

ohh that sounds hellish, tooth pain is the absolute worst! i hope it gets better for you soon

i just hope i have another period of smooth sailing over the summer so that i can actually go on the trip i planned with my friend group to the ren faire, i already had to give up on it on previous years due to my health

but i had almost started to hope that my meds were finally making a big difference and that was gonna be my baseline now. i suppose everything is cyclical! i usually get more fatigued in spring, though i've had a lot more migraines and dizziness than usual this year which is v disruptive
