The Nimbus Messaging API Is Back | Damian Maclennan This week is a very big, and somewhat emotional one for me. An open source library I started in 2013 has been quietly running in production for 13 years, handling millions and millions of transactions...

Thirteen years ago I built an open source library for building distributed apps in .NET. Since then it's been quietly running in production systems everywhere. But it looked neglected.

Weather radar showing large rain are moving across and near Adelaide

I checked the gutters yesterday in anticipation, but still a few blockages to clear this morning. A good bit of rain but will we get more, or will it pass us by?
They have issued flood warnings just in case there is a massive downpour.

Had a lovely day in Melbourne today. Dropped in on a friend's church and then had lunch with her and her husband.
Caught up with a SixPivot colleague who kindly dropped me off at the airport.
Hanging out in the Virgin Lounge using a voucher that was about to expire.

Home soon.

Going for a top of 45Β°C (113Β°F) in #Adelaide today. Maybe just a degree or two cooler here in the hills.

Our garden is festooned with old bedsheets and shade cloth, trying to protect our plants from the burning heat.

Hiding under here is our mandarin tree πŸ™‚

Stay cool everyone.

The Tour Down Under went behind our place yesterday, and unusually it came past again today! First King of the Mountain was there too.

Stinking hot 43Β°C today so I don't envy the riders. Stay cool.
