Have I mentioned lately how much I love the #yycbike community? Every time I take a new class out in winter, I prepare them for the look of nostalgic joy people walking give us and the loudly expressed joy from winter cyclists. Wow, what a year we had in #2025. We tallied up some numbers for our funders at @cyclingcanada.bsky.social and Alberta Bicycle Association and our reach continues to grow, despite the school strike in the fall. Thanks to passionate teachers and school partners. #yycbike

Our winter bike program is booked solid until the end of “winter” 😉

We have had a fantastic week winter biking with the students at Robert Thirsk High School. From a Monday morning conversation about why anyone would want to bike in winter to Tuesday afternoon where students were asking the furthest destination we could go, we know these youth are hooked! #yycbike

Bike Hub Calgary New workshop and bike donation centre as a community bike shop. Do-it-Yourselfers will be able to come in, use tools, get knowledge from experience mechanics to fix their own bike.

I would really like them to study the impact of macular degeneration and regular injections on vision, especially in bright sun, on drivers. From my experience with my elderly aunt, she is blind as a bat on bright sunny days - but is fine when light is muted.
