Took my daughter to the Japanese Friendship Garden today, and it was absolutely BEAUTIFUL. 🤩

It is March, so the town is carpeted with Three-cornered Garlic. One of the prettiest weeds around.

UV light reacts with the chlorophyll in 𝐴𝑙𝑙𝑖𝑢𝑚 𝑡𝑟𝑖𝑞𝑢𝑒𝑡𝑟𝑢𝑚, causing the stems to appear bright red.

It's a bit of a climb but we can do it! Look just ahead, it's all down hill from here. This red dirt trail covered in tree roots can take us to a place where there is no spin. Where the moss hangs heavy on old tree branches. Where life is simpler somehow, regardless of the terrain. Walking among the giants one remembers how life is meant to be, not without bumps along the way, but with some semblance of order, in the nature of things. Hold my hand, we'll find a haven together.

a spiral galaxy floats in a field of colorful stars. the patchy star clouds give it structure but no definite spiral arms can be discerned. The yellowish center contains older stars while the outer fringes are bluish with younger stars with hints of pink emission nebulae. Meade 8" SCT with ZWO ASI2600MM camera. The best 284 of 312 60s exposures through LRGB filters were stacked and processed with Astro Pixel processor, Starnet++, and Photoshop
