FYI a MEU also contains at least a few hundred sailors (to get the marines there and to give them penicillin shots after any port visits, among other things).

Wrapped up the 1st tee ball practice of the season. I’ve never been a coach before. This was amazing. 9 kiddos running, batting, catching (kind of), hustling, and for the most part listening (these are 4 and 5 year old boys we’re talking about).
45 minutes and it was over. Practice again next week.

My one real Bahrain story is that the Navy exchange on base is the only place outside of the eastern US I’ve ever seen Yuengling on the shelves.
Can’t get it in Ohio for whatever reason but could get it in Bahrain.
