It’s not my business what you do! If you feel badly, you go live with it. You can’t pretend you care about a community and then also burden them with absolving your guilt in materially supporting their oppressors. It’s exhausting! Don’t make your feelings my problem!

The “separating the art from the artist” conversation uniquely bothers me. I feel strongly that everybody goes through old discourse, and that’s fine. This though? This one persists because people seem to want to be absolved of whatever little trespass they’ve already resolved to commit.
