February is going to be a busy time! I'm excited to join the @linneansociety.bsky.social Symposium on Exploring Queerness in Natural History, give a talk to lovely people with Margate Pride, and finally, #QueerNature is returning to the Powell-Cotton Museum. Now where did I put the lonzenges?

Ansonsten mal gucken bei "Kochen ohne Kohle" auf Spiegel online, die haben inzwischen viel Veggie und ist speziell auf wenig Equipment ausgelegt (weil für Studis).

Wenn Wasserkocher/heiß Wasser da ist: Instant Ramen "aufbessern". Also Dosen- oder geschnippeltes Gemüse und i-ein veganes Protein dazu, wenn kein TK dann sind Soja Schnetzel/Hack am ehesten geeignet. Im Reiskocher dürfte one-pot Quinoa gut gehen, z.B. mit Bohnen und Tomaten als Chilli-sin-carne.

A massive thank you to all the lovely people who joined a #QueerNature tour at the Powell-Cotton Museum over the last 2 weeks. So, what is Queer Nature? QN explores a range of same-sex, intersex and trans* behaviours in the animals on display at the PCM. It is inspired by my experience as a queer person working in and visiting museums, and the desire to share how diverse and wonderfully queer animal relationships can be.

It's happening!
#QueerNature is coming to the Powell-Cotton Museum for the second and third weekend in August (9,10,16,17). The guided tour is part of the museum entry, and tours start at 12 noon and 14.30.
For those not joining a tour, a self-guided, all ages trail will be available.

As part of my Master's project at Uni Edinburgh, I developed "Queer Nature". The guided tour explores LGBTQ+ behaviours in animals, based on the dioramas at the Powell-Cotton Museum. Yesterday was the first time I presented it to a small audience, to prepare for its launch in August 🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️
