People with adhd will have more disproportionate emotional reactions of all kinds. You can be more easily frustrated, ecstatic, disappointed etc. And yes feeling incredibly hurt and embarrassed from rejection (perceived or otherwise) is simply another form of that emotional dysregulation

My adhd opinion is that rejection sensitive dysphoria is an unhelpful term to focus on bc it is just a very particular form of emotional dysregulation

Hey does anyone else divide their internal voice into two people? For me, one's the raw emotions voice and the other is the reasonable and grounded voice. It's like I've always got a therapy session going on in my head.

I make sure not to make any impulsive decisions and i have to make sure i don't let my thoughts spiral into evil fanfiction about my near future.

One of my biggest adhd difficulties is emotional dysregulation. Something can happen which completely throws my mood out of whack and it's really frustrating but i know what's happening so i can simply give myself the time to work through it without beating myself up and I'll feel better when I do

The best thing you can do for yourself, if you're neurodivergent, is learn how it affects you. Learn how to describe how you feel and why. Being self aware means you can then carry yourself through stressful situations with a lot less uncertainty and anxiety
