Same. I was infantry in the late 90s/early 2000's. Basically just dudes looking for a leg up. I would definitely describe some of them as knuckleheads and I'm glad they found a place in the Army. But no one was an outright murderer.

Hey everyone, if you have the spoons/space, I'd really appreciate a signal boost/share of this:

The First Binding is on a month long 6.99 sale (America/US audible only) right now for all of Feb.
And it's my bday this month, so :) <3
Videos always make them look easier. The angles don’t display well. If you keep at it for a year though and go back watch the old videos you took, I bet you’ll be blown away by your progress.
Nice control. Bouldering is so much fun. Usually a really cool community too.
I’m like two weeks late to this but good play list. I’ll check it out.
Donnie was a great addition to the cast.
One of their most complete albums. Good songs all the way through.
Fake it till you make it. They sure looked good this week.
Agreed. Pretty much a perfect album (and why the bar for Eric Church is so high). There is a live album he’s releasing soon that has some tracks from Mr. Misunderstood on it that I’m really enjoying.
Sam Barber’s EP was really good. I enjoyed Evangeline vs The Machine it’s just that it’s an okay Eric Church album (which is a very high standard), not on the level of Mr Misunderstood or Desperate Man.
That entire scene was a masterclass in writing those kinds of scenes (trying to keep this vague for spoilers).
Yeah, the King in Red and the Priest of Kos buddy comedy they have going on is fantastic.
Really liked Abelard in this book.
That’s what it did to me. Clicked on multiple “already selected seats.”
Same. Figuring out what was $600 resale vs what was face value was a pain. Got row 33 though, face value.
“Scars have a particular strength: they hold us together but they limit our movement.”
Gladstone always has great prose but this book is taking it to another level.
Only through the first few chapters but wow, the intro is electric so far.
Hell yeah. Nice stretch to that foothold. Nice high foot on the volume too.
No 3v3 OT in the playoffs and the Avs 5 on 5 underlying numbers are great. Their PP is crap but they’ll be fine.
The post hike beers (if you drink) hit different at that elevation.
I really wanted to like Morgan Wade’s new album but it’s boring. New Florence + The Machine soon.
Solitary Tracks, Dollar a Day, Parker McCollum (despite naming the album after himself it’s good), The Price of Admission (Turnpike).
Ouch. Glenfiddich. Neat.
No point in getting a cocktail with those options. I’d just check out the beer selection.
Yeah, Passage Du Desir rules. Jupiter’s Fairie is absolutely heartbreaking. Mint Tea is such a jam. (He’s amazing live too).
That might be Sturgill’s best song and I love all his stuff.
It would be really cool to see Ondra pull a gold medal in lead.
She’s a total badass. I’ve heard that they are doing separate medals for lead and bouldering next Olympics. I’m curious to see if Brooke Rabatou beat Janja solely at lead.
How do you think MacKinnon will age as his contract goes on?
