Released 13 Mar 1970, A Beard of Stars by Tyrannosaurus Rex. Despite the unchanged band name, Marc had dropped Steve Took and hired a new percussionist named Mickey Finn. It was the first album that Marc played electric guitar on & it made No. 21 in the UK album chart. I loved it! #MarcBolan #TRex

Born 12th March 1951 - Scottish musician & songwriter Jack Green, who played with T. Rex between 1973 and 1974, then with Pretty Things between 1974 and 1976, recording the albums Silk Torpedo and Savage Eye. He later lived in Ryde, Isle Of Wight and taught guitar. He died in 2024. #JackGreen
