I really tried to come up with games I've spent a ton of hours in across almost 40 years of playing games. Goldeneye or Mario Kart 64 probably could have made it in here as well.

Yeah, it's all of the above. I don't absolve NJPW of their mistakes, but the financial situation was most likely gonna be lopsided given Western TV rights money vs live event money & the economic situations out of lockdown.

They definitely could have handled their own in-house better, tho.

Man is married and is in his 30s. I think he just decided the money in NXT wasn't going to be good enough and was basically going to be a step backwards in his career.

I don't dislike the War Dogs guys personally, but the thing had sorta run its course so I think it has the potential to be a great thing for NJPW to turn over the roster (and that includes losing LIJ, even though Naito/Hiromu are very popular).
