An illustration of two snails balancing on a leaf, reaching out for each other. In the middle of them, features an apple sliced in half. They are surrounded by mirrored intertwining vines and thorns, with some fantasy flowers throughout.

The issue isn't "you should be nice to him," the man is evil incarnate and fascists do not deserve civility.

The issue is that talking about his physical decline as an outward expression of his moral decline reinforces eugenic narratives equating bodily health with character.

I dunno man, I think precipitously canceling people's funding caused a lot of damage to other people's careers and lives and reputations and maybe they should live with the blowback. They come from a media ecosystem that makes public lists of insufficiently bigoted professors.

there’s a lot of people that want you to spend your time debating them and in fact you can just choose to ignore them and do something fun instead

im grabbing your hand to tell you. it’s not too late to start wearing a mask again. it’s better to wear a mask 1/4 of the time (or whatever your percent looks like) than not at all. there’s no shame in starting to be covid safe again even if you havent been for a long time. its okay

I’d love to know why Grammarly didn’t think this was going to happen. Like what team of clearly overpaid lawyers okayed this idea in the first place?

β€œYes, using and profiting from the direct likeness of people who have the time, money, clout and lawyers to obliterate you is 100% in the clear.”

Grammarly Is Facing a Class Action Lawsuit Over Its AI β€˜Expert Review’ Feature The feature, which Grammarly shut down Wednesday, presented editing suggestions as if they came from established authors and academicsβ€”without their consent.

I'm suing Grammarly over its paid AI feature that presented editing suggestions as if they came from me - and many other writers and journalists - without consent.

State law requires consent before someone's name can be used for commercial purposes.
