Planning isn’t about predicting the future—it’s about creating the conditions where communities can thrive on their own terms. That’s the work I’m running toward. Thanks to those who’ve challenged, supported, and believed in me. Let’s keep going.
It means treating place not only as a product but as a process—one grounded in care, justice, and collective vision.
Right now, that means leading community-driven revitalization efforts along the San Pedro corridor in Albuquerque, pushing for equitable public infrastructure, and organizing around public policy that puts people first.
Walking across the stage felt less like an ending and more like a re-commitment—to do the work, ask better questions, and shape places that reflect the people who live in them.
🎓 Oh, by the way, I graduated from @unm.edu School of Architecture + Planning with my Master of Community & Regional Planning.
I'm watching closely. Curious what you think.
Some will say it’s red tape.
But red tape doesn’t usually include plain-language disclosures and receipts for your own rent.
These are the systems people rely on without ever seeing. That’s why they matter.
That’s civic infrastructure.
Is it perfect? No.
But when nearly 50% of ABQ households rent—and most pay too much—this is a structural shift toward stability.
No rent control.
No eviction pause.
No mandates on rent prices.
Just: clarity, accountability, and fairness.
Also included:
– Clear move-in/move-out forms
– Limits on companion animal deposits
– No required renters insurance
– Credit reporting standards (if used)
It’s called the Renter’s Empowerment and Neighborhood Transparency Ordinance (RENT). It would:
– Require landlords to register properties
– Disclose all fees up front
– Ban surprise charges
– Cap screening fees at $50
The RENT Ordinance is proposed by @mayorkeller.bsky.social and will be introduced by Councilor @tammyfie.bsky.social, by request of the administration.
🚨 Albuquerque is debating the RENT Ordinance—renter protections that don’t include rent control, but do require registration, fee caps, and transparency.
Quiet policy. Big impact.

This rally was incredible. I only wish I could have participated more. Seeing so many people show up to fight for fair wages, dignity, and real protections is inspiring.
NM is stronger when we have each other’s backs.

This past Sept, I took on the role of Executive Director of @sanpedroabq.org—where I am leading efforts to revitalize the San Pedro MainStreet corridor. We’re creating a vibrant, walkable, and thriving district that supports small businesses, enhances public spaces, and fosters community connection.
New Mexicans are sorely in need of privacy protections online.
Online companies amass vast troves of sensitive personal data about each of us through our internet activities, enabling discriminatory practices such as denying housing and employment opportunities. https://sourcenm.com/2025/01/30/nm-…

The federal government is out of control and people are dying.
If passed, SB 7 enables municipalities to enact local ordinance to:
☔️ Acquire, operate, and maintain stormwater facilities to provide storm water management services.
☔️ Charge a just and reasonable fees to property owners based on their contribution to stormwater runoff.
SB 7 is enabling legislation which gives municipalities in New Mexico the option to establish and operate stormwater utilities.
Thank you, @senatorheinrich.bsky.social – we need you and your hard-earned seniority in Washington! #nmpol
👏 Albuquerque Public Schools will not comply with Trump’s immigration enforcement efforts, prioritizing student safety over politics.
As someone who has worked on and passed safe schools legislation, I applaud this effort. Schools should be places of learning, not fear.
Albuquerque Mayor @mayorkeller.bsky.social stands firm: Local police won’t be turned into immigration agents. This is about keeping our communities safe—not making people afraid to call for help.
@govmlg.bsky.social calls for over $100m in new housing and homelessness investments and the creation of a state office of housing to tackle obstacles to new housing construction
