If that was a market test (and it very likely was!), then it's fair to say it was absolutely successful, and I'm very happy for that. ❤️
In any case, there were a lot of walkups and day of sales, and a lot of people left that arena feeling very happy, excited, and fulfilled.
I hope they do bring another one back there, and I fully expect they will.
And when that happens? We're driving right back down because that was fun as hell.
and were very excited to chant things and get involved in the mix.
And there were a LOT of chants! WWE doesn't really do a lot as far as I recall (I could be wrong, I don't watch anymore), whereas here, there was so much opportunity to get engaged, have some fun, and watch some badass wrestling.
And if they kept up the same energy again? They just might get themselves a Dynamite, too!
I know people didn't like the "what" chants. And with good reason!
But that was a crowd full of people who had either NEVER been to an AEW show before, or hadn't been to a wrestling show in a long time,
One of the coolest things about Collision in Tucson is that, there hadn't been a televised wrestling show there in nearly a decade.
I don't think anyone knew what to expect. But the crowd killed it, and AEW delivered a GREAT show.
TK came out and said they would bring them another Collision. 1/?
I choose to believe this is 10000% real. Specifically the second half. 😂
Also, it's really cool to get your story on this! It was crazy when it happened, and the Blink 182 sort of crossover was SO much fun.
The best part is after being a drunk moron at a blink 182 concert. We made the best out of it & actually got Blink for a promo, before a blink 182 concert in which again I got shitfaced & some dude pushed Priscilla Kelly on the ground & I beat the breaks off him, then Tony had to hide us in a room..
Always allow yourself to exist in joy and fun, whenever you can!
At it's core, it's something that makes you feel like a kid again, and you can throw yourself into that as fully as you wish.
Carl Sagan talked a lot about protecting the spirit of wonder and curiosity that we have as kids, and I take that into this too.
Man, what a brilliant way to encapsulate what makes pro wrestling, and specifically AEW, so much fun!
It's a blast. Dazzling athletics, triumphant and inspiring characters (or dastardly devils, or just Don Callis 😤), a few hours of thrilling excitement and jaw dropping feats - it's a blast!
We're all there because we want to have a great time, and I love fully throwing myself into that. To me, seeing AEW live is like a giant party with friends, and that shared experience is absolutely *magical*.

OMG that is so sweet! Thank you!!!! I LOVE going to AEW shows, and the best times are when we have fun people in our sections to vibe with! It makes it so much better. We've even made lasting friendships with people next to us!
