Welcome to Bluesky Nico Carney!
Welcome to Bluesky Nico Carney!
An exhausting day of killing all his toys.
Color photo of a white man in a dark suit, sitting on a bench on a boardwalk or other outdoor wooden space. He's eating lunch on top of a briefcase and has a sandwich in one hand, but hold up a little tin in his other hand for a shorthaired brown tabby cat that is stretching up to reach the bench next to him. It looks like it could have been a sardine tin or something similar. Overall it looks like this man is on his lunch break from work but also giving a treat to a friendly stray. It looks like there is a large red boat in the background.
Business lunch. This is from a negative in my collection, ca. 1970s. When I posted this to Bluesky previously, a sharp-eyed follower identified the likely location as the dock in front of the Lightship Ambrose in NYC!

What is this small creature that has invaded my home?
Shots fired, Neil.
Poilievre is saying that unless we do consecutive sentences for multiple murders, you get “4 years of jail time per murder.”
“That’s insane” he says.
It’s actually a lie.
They don’t get out. They get a hearing, and the murderers he’s talking about don’t get parole in Canada.
He’s rage-farming.
“I don’t know what the laws are.”

I remain unclear on what, exactly, Ottawa needs to do to "respect" Alberta in the eyes of those who say this. I also remain aware that we're facing an existential threat from outside that means this sort of talk is incredibly poisonous.

Hey, Orange Felon: I don't see Russia listed on your chart of tariffs. Surely, that was an oversight that will be corrected. 🤑
I don't know what Carney said to him on that phone call, but it must have been a doozie. Governor & 51state has not been uttered since. Today we learn we're not on "the list." No time to get comfortable, we're still in elbows up mode. Plus, that yam has the attention span of a squirrel.
I’ll be an old man someday still saying @mark-carney.bsky.social saved us. Thank you, sir. #ElbowsUp
HARD FACT: The only person on the #SignalGate chain with any integrity is Jeffrey Goldberg.
listen, i was just hoping to conspire with a belligerent state to give my party an electoral advantage IS THAT SO WRONG
if you feel you’re smarter than US Secretary of Defense Hegseth, you’re probably right. his catastrophic blunder in exposing operational details of a military action overseas will go down in history as a clown show of incompetence for the ages. #FireHegseth #HegsethResign

I would like to nominate Maxwell Smart for national security advisor.
The NATIONAL SECURITY ADVISER added the EDITOR OF THE ATLANTIC to a PRINCIPALS COMMITTEE TEXT CHAIN set up for the DEFENSE SECRETARY about PLANNED MILITARY STRIKES.
Here's a thread of involved parties talking about the need for secure communications (when Dems are involved):

I’m sure if the White House can add a journalist to the Yemen war planning group chat, someone there can find a way to add a Globe reporter to the

I hate the idea of having to vote strategically but these are different times politically. With the exception of a small number of ridings, the NDP & Greens simply won't win. Voting for them in most ridings just means the Cons have a better chance of winning. Vote carefully.

Ken Boessenkool on X: When Danielle Smith ran for the leadership of the UCP, I argued that she was unfit for public office. This interview [with Breitbart] (and the faxr she didn't tell Albertans about it!) proves I was right. I don't believe in recall, but I'm open to an exception here.
Mark Scott: What are you concerned about, Ken? I didn't read anything unexpected or troubling. Ken: She privately told "the administration" to change their policy to affect a Canadiam election! She asked for foreign interference.
Does Danielle Smith's behaviour amount to encouraging foreign interference in our elections?
One prominent Conservative thinks so.
