I picked up eight new comic books yesterday to restore my creative vein. The first two issues of CRUEL KINGDOM look really interesting. Once I’m done editing this new manuscript, I’m looking forward to starting my Submittable adventure. I gotta take the paths that are given to me. #WritingCommunity

I'm grateful for my hard-working little laser printer. My second sci-fi novella is all lasered out this morning and ready for editing. At 16000 words, it should keep me busy for a bit. A lot of fun was had while writing it this past Christmas!

I finished my new submission package with a nice brown envelope and a SASE to THE FIDDLEHEAD. It's been a while since I've got to do that.
PS: I've been gradually becoming addicted to comic books, and @margaretatwood.bsky.social's doodles and Substack are inspiring.
I finished my fresh cover letter to THE FIDDLEHEAD. Now that that's done, I'm looking forward to getting things all packaged up over the weekend. There's a fun quality to mailing out physical submissions that just doesn't exist online.

I had a nice morning at the comic-book store, and an even nicer time checking the mail when I got home. I received a letter back from THE FIDDLEHEAD about a story of a toad I had sent them. They recommended I expand on one part, so I’m going to add the change and submit it to them again! 👍🤞
