"I don't know if I am supposed to say this, but that was for the guys to break their fast."
Brian Schwake confirmed in the mixed zone that he went down to allow his teammates to break fast.

Using Belmont Blvd as the “war on cars” example is… a choice
I’ve walked, biked, and driven there and enjoy all 3. But before the bulb outs, my fiancé got t-boned there because the sight lines were terrible

The sponsor keeps saying this won’t ban e-bikes but it WILL allow cities or TDOT to restrict e-bikes on any street they decide it’s necessary. Meanwhile, a separate bill passed that stripped local authority to restrict delivery robots on bike lanes + sidewalks
More rights for robots than e-bikers

Experience
Hey @kyledeanreinford.bsky.social, never hit send on this. Is this sidewalk still closed? I see there's no active permit: experience.arcgis.com/experience/5...

NDOT doesn’t own the barriers so these barriers have to move after the maintenance project but we need a replacement ready when that happens this summer

Absolutely. This one’s on the south side but I’d imagine a two way cycle track on the north side similar to the Spokes design would be best to avoid interstate conflicts

I thought the same thing on my way to the courthouse monday. At least while JRP is down. Need to protect at least to 5th.

Current cross section on Woodland Bridge. It’s for a maintenance project but imagine this as a bikeway and protected sidewalk. Turn the third travel lane into a flex lane like JRP. We’d be cookin’

After this tunnel resolution, let’s not lose sight that Murfreesboro Pk is CHYM’s “magic corridor” with its combination of ROW, high ridership, and connection to BNA and Murfreesboro
Since Nashville has no formal power over Boring, let’s fight and win this debate in the court of public opinion

Lesson from today’s ACT meeting, the navigation button at the top of nashville.gov/transit is helpful! I had never noticed it on desktop

$5 million sure would accelerate bus rapid transit to the airport — a project two thirds of Nashvillians voted for.
Instead, Tennessee taxpayers are paying $5 million for oversight. Not infrastructure, oversight.
Oversight on a project no one asked for that’s delaying progress on better solutions

What Chris said plus they voted on resolutions against the e-bike bill at the state and (I believe) asking for specifics on the ped bridge construction. Update on BCycle is “contract negotiations are ongoing” and @rollinhorton.bsky.social asked for feedback on tree setbacks in new NDOT access mgmt

For context, here are the electric bicycle classifications defined in state law:
Class 1: pedal-assist only, 20 mph max speed
Class 2: pedal-assist and throttle, 20 mph max speed
Class 3: pedal-assist only, 28 mph max speed
Opening the door to ban Class 1 & 2 is a slippery slope (END)

I believe this bill is trying to address legitimate safety concerns, but these are serious changes to a decade-old e-bike bill that require discussion. I have heard far more concerns from Williamson Co about electric motorcycles, which this bill does not address

Sen. Johnson's office denied there was an amendment to the caption bill as late as Friday. As far as I know, local and state bike shops and organizations were not consulted.
