People seemed unhappy with the leap in quality gen 9th had but the load times and how often we got games at 60 FPS was a huge improvement to me personally. I'm not sure what gen 10 could do, but I will typically get new systems when exclusives come out that I want unless my finances are dire.

THANK YOU! That seems to be a fleeting sentiment. Exploring and finding upgrades and secrets were always the primary fun of the subgenre over combat to me.

Anyone else not crazy about how seemingly every Metroidvania now has to have rooms that lock you in with a gauntlet of enemies? Yeah I don't know just seems unnecessary and interrupts the flow.
