Absolutely wild to see a diet fad developing (hopefully peaking?) in real time. Put this alongside the Chipotle protein cup (it's a bowl of meat).

My daughter had Chronic Lung Disease of Prematurity, and the med that really helped her in the NICU was off-label azithromycin, an antibiotic known to reduce inflammation in the lungs. They gave it out like candy early in COVID, even though it turned out to have no effect.
It is 7:00 pm and still light outside. Order has returned to things. It is literally a brighter day.
Clerks: The Animated Series? I want to say I would recognize that opening anywhere, but it's been a while.
I think there was definitely an intent to tear this down eventually (the house next door was and it would make a good location for a small apartment building), but this was its state in 2021, when the historic designation was granted. I really don't think this house can be saved.
You can’t convince me these aren’t the names of two fake schools from Unnecessary Roughness II or some movie like that.
I hadn't seen anything on Fox/Bally/FanDuel Sports in quite a few years until going out to eat one night last summer. They had darts on and half the screen was taken up by betting lines including dart-by-dart changes. Like this, only I'm pretty sure it was worse. It was awful.
Yeah, it’s definitely a negative feature of media conglomeration.
Pretty sure this is aggregated because it was a KING5 story and they and KARE11 are both Tegna stations. The writer is from Seattle. This is probably the original. www.king5.com/article/news...
That's just a standard 10-team bracket that they've made look funny by splitting up the quarterfinals into a "second round" and "third round." I guess it gives the higher seeds an advantage because they don't have to play back-to-back days until the finals.
Happy tenth anniversary to the day Steph Curry made us collectively lose our minds.
That was a one-day protest, focused around a single issue, on which basically the entire city agreed, and it involved maybe 2% of the Twin Cities workforce? It was great to see, but it was not a general strike in the way folks tend to talk about them.
Sold!
Still think they should have just stolen the Doom Loon design and called it a day.
According to IMDB, this was filmed not to far from me. I'm interested to see it.
I think the whole protein fad has gone a bit too far.
Well, average wages have increased 29% over the last five years, so that context would indicate 30% shouldn't be a problem for most people (particularly since wages have bested overall inflation by 4.5% since 2020.
My mom has been an evangelical Republican voter my whole life. Voted Trump in 2016, abstained the last two elections and is now volunteering at a church (not hers) packing groceries for Hispanic families scared to leave their homes because of ICE. Give them a pathway to change their minds.
Made the ultimate early-spring move and opened the windows while cooking to let in fresh air without the house getting too cool.
But that’s a 20% increase. Would you have appreciably noticed if it was $7.19 instead of $6.99? Particularly given that the variation in those “tertiary items” is more than $.20 in any given week?
I know it's pedantic, but nobody under the age of 50 has any memory of grocery prices before 1993. We were 80s kids, not 80s adults. So, at best, like 1/3 of Americans remember GHWB-era prices.
Right. Our bill was noticeably higher this week but it’s because we bought steak for Valentine’s Day. A couple weeks ago it was noticeably lower because we were making a meatless meal. Those changes are going to have a bigger impact on my bill than a two percent increase over the last 12 months.
I’m one of those weird people that tracks everything in a spreadsheet but even I don’t notice fluctuations in food prices because our week-to-week variations matter much more than grocery price increases. And if I want to cut back, it’s going to come out of our restaurant budget.
NBCSN didn't even exist three months ago!
Mpls kids sign up starts tomorrow. No change there as far as I can tell.
Not just an FSU hat, but a 2014 BCS Championship Game FSU hat.
Apparently not, since he can’t afford a housekeeper to clean up those cans and rings.
My wife and I both got ours at 41/42 because we were having GI issues that didn’t really need colonoscopies but our doctors were, like, “eh, close enough to 45; might as well do it just to be safe.” I think doctors are willing to do it if insurers play along.
