I am indeed again applying animal training concepts to myself. Though this time it comes with a side of "that was part of my parents' parenting style". My mom always phrases it as "catching them doing something good"

And then later, when they meet again none of Shizun's rewinds are the silly or cute self indulgences anymore it's all guilt and trying different ways to escape and absolutely giving away how terrified he is and what he expects to happen

Luo Binghe getting hugged and reassured and told his heritage doesn't matter and Shen Qingqiu is so so so sorry. And then they rewind and Shen Qingqiu acts the cold peak lord and stabs him and pushes him into the abyss with no sign of remorse...
