Louise poses for illustrator Carl Van Buskirk in 1926 as he creates the artwork that will become the cover of the February 1927 issue of Photoplay magazine. See the finished color cover in the thread.

My mum and dad remember it well. The Minehead one with its active volcano lasted to about 1986

Later in 2004 the DVD of Lost in Time came out & made 1 of the recons redundant.
Now 22 years later, 43 years since my granddad bought me that DWM & started my Master Plan obsession, we have 2 more pieces of puzzle. Can't wait to see them & I hope it's not 22 years before there's more good news🀞🏻

From 1997 I was slowly collecting reconstructions and eventually Loose Cannon dominated the field. Early 2004 I received my 2 tapes of Master Plan recons but within weeks it was out of date.
The DW Restoration Team website broke the news that Day of Armageddon had been found.

Another 9 years later in 2001 the complete soundtrack came out, I remember my friend and I listening to the CDs for hours that day, my full size K9 arrived at the same time so it was unforgettable.

Novelisations were my way of collecting past Who, I devoured novelisations of Plan a few years later. Story still seemed magically distant but fascinating.
9 years after I read DWM, in 1992 I finally saw Counterplot and Escape-Switch on VHS. Quality was so good but never expected to see any more

My experiences of #DoctorWho The Daleks Master Plan go back to summer 1983. The first Doctor Who Monthly I ever had featured a long synopsis of it (CT clipping here as haven't time to dig the mag out). Later that year in DWM I found out eps5 & 10 were found but I never expected to see them.

BFI Short Sharp Shocks: The Lake, 1978
This fitted the BFI label better with a cast of 2 at a picnic. A very well done atmosphere but the very end let it down and anything bad with a pet loses it a point. As soon as you see a dog or a cat in horror you are waiting for the bad news!

Nicola Bryant got Colin Baker and JNT directors chairs with names on for on location as leaving presents. Sadly Colin would only use his once (if at all). JNT's chair can be seen on location for Silver Nemesis

We didn't have any footage until 2004 and the discovery of Day of Armageddon (apart from her death scene). This triples her material and means we now have most of her period. We are only missing her intro episode and her exit episode.

Funny how back in 1992 we had inserts for ep1, ep2, ep3 & ep4 but nothing further for #DoctorWho Daleks Master Plan.
Since 2004, the episodes with clips have all turned up bar ep4 whilst the episodes with no clips stay lost.
What I'm saying is The Traitors, you are due to appear!

12/3/26 #DoctorWho rewatch The Time Monster Episodes Five-Six / The Three Doctors Episode One.
Hippias is somehow wooden and over the top at the same time but I love his catty remarks at Galleia where he drops the bravado. Time Monster is a fun romp that ends in a massacre and a jokeπŸ‘πŸ».
