As students work towards the exams in May, they will probably be doing full sets of past papers. Help them understand the weighted totals for grade boundaries with this tool where the input paper marks.

Your resources really are amazing!
Do share this with your exams team. Hopefully helpful for them to manage the different times for exams this mock season.
Should work on an iPad, but I don't have one to test it. Let me know if not.
I don't remember seeing any official stuff on desmos. I have used it to put bits together for our department.
I used this successfully today to teach solving a quadratic equation when you have draw a line on a given quadratic graph. Being able to write the equation next to the graph was really helpful.
I will take a look at how I can change that.
The id is the last part of the website address. You just copy that part.
But I can update it to take the full link.
You can either use the blank one to create live in the lesson, or load a saved desmos graph. Not compatible with desmos (now amplify) classroom.
Any desmos file.
I am not going to use it for labels in reality. It is useful to be able to draw on a graph when demonstrating.
That is the topic I am teaching next week that made me want this! Though I will just type a live equation of a straight line into the desmos directly.
Whilst I get your point about the labels, and I can do that, a lot of teachers don't know those more advanced features and they do require a bit of learning that some just aren't up for. This is slightly less 'tech advanced' I think.
But I get your point for labels, I was more thinking demos.
2. In class I wanted to write a question on the board for students to see with the desmos showing. I know I could use the note section for this, but personal preference.
3. We have TV screens instead of projectors on boards, so I can't write on them. I use graphic tablet to annotate live a lot.
I had three personal reasons for it.
1. When I record a video using desmos, it is helpful to be able to use my graphics tablet to write at the same time as seeing the desmos activity. Especially when they are embedded without the equations showing.
Yes. The ink is separate to the desmos graph, so you can change the desmos and ink stays. You can then add more ink.
Not at the moment. Do you mean a second graph to appear side by side?
You can either start with blank Desmos file and build it up live, just like you would in Desmos. Or create an interactive Desmos file before the lesson, and then load it using the unique ID generated by Desmos.
You can then annotate with the pen tools, or add a textbox.
Ever wanted to annotate on a Desmos file?
I have a new free tool that allows you to do just that! Useful for #MathsToday

I think my question generators are really useful for creating quick questions (biased!). You can project and get as many as you want, turn them into worksheets, bingo, other activities.

I might not be able to make all 5 online times (parents evening). Is it possible to get recordings to watch if I miss one? Don't want to sign up if that will be a problem.

A table with columns for the time, examples, students affected and announcements for running exams. It shows the regular time announcements and 10% and 25% extra time announcements for two exams, and the timings for these announcements.
Mocks coming up? I have a tool that helps get the timings straight when there are multiple exams, and extra time thrown in too.
In IB we do 30 minute and 5 minute announcements, not sure about GCSE and A-Level?
Can either be on screen or printed like this.

Looking to learn / revise IB Maths AA? Whilst under construction, my online course is free to access.
Number and Algebra, Functions, Geometry and Trig all complete.

I have been working on a IB Maths AAHL interactive and searchable formula booklet
Includes the official formulae, but also some more that students need to know.

In #MathsToday we looked at the integrating factor method for differential equations. Lovely to bring in some of the other integration methods too.
No, that is a bit crazy. I have it all on the cloud, on my hard drive and an external hard drive, just to be safe!
I have everything on the cloud, but I use a USB for two reasons.
1. It is easier to quickly open files without the need to log in to my Google account.
2. We can print straight from USB
Now with 3 units complete: Number and Algebra; Functions; Trigonometry.

A couple of ideas for Christmas drawings based on this Desmos activity.
