im very confused at his mis-remembering of being asked about slapping dcl. for such a no bullshit details man, that was a bit of a memory gap.
apparently he "advised" everton that he would leave ONLY if they got moyes in to replace him.
i just listened to that in full. i don't know but is that something that actually happened? i mean, surely something like that would have got out, no?
the whole episode was surreal to me. it was like satire.
if anyone listens to this in full, its truly breathtaking. but not in a good way. i'm not saying he's dishonest, but his comments on his time at everton don't really add up. at all. not sure why. perhaps the reporters (who only want clicks) misrepresented him?

For the life of me, I can't find any such headline, no matter what search engine I use.
