(1/2) This week it was reported that TikTok will unapologetically buck the trend gripping many online platforms - choosing not to introduce end-to-end encryption to their direct messaging service.
Theyβre doing this because they believe it makes their platform safer.
Violence against women and girls and child sexual abuse are deeply connected - with shared root causes like gender inequality, misogyny and power imbalances. A joined-up response to these issues is essential.
