Whatβs with Reddit auto translating posts? What a wild default setting.
It also shows why some people respond in their native language when a post was in English or any other language.
What a stupid default setting, but I guess thatβs how you reach more people?

Added rayleigh scattering to my space sim. Seeing how the atmosphere affects the color of the sky. Super curious how sunsets could look with different atmospheres. A first version is pushed. Still tweaking it locally #astro #sciart

I have added some more tutorials and some astronomy education resources into my space simulator. I think it can turn into a great teaching tool.
Added an interactive explanation for the ecliptic, too

check out the galaxy map and the new learning tab. I'll turn off the old default tutorial soon.
Check out the sky view (look at the ecliptic tutorial in the learning panel)

When you've had too many statistics classes, the monty hall problem is so obvious that it's more shocking that people think it makes no difference whether you change the door or not

Teaser for my space sim:
How Proxima Centauri looks from the planet, and an artist rendition - looks like we can showcase the size really well already. Extremely excited to publish the next changes.
Also, this shows me that I should add atmosphere (and planetary elevation maps) into the Sky view

What happens when you trust a stranger while traveling? After arriving at Spitzkoppe, Namibia's steepest mountains, for another night of desert camping, we met a landscape photographer who had an unusual request. It involved climbing a HUGE rock. I didn't dare... #travel #travelvlog #storytelling

A view from earth, showing different planets along a line
Working on Luna showed me something that ancient astronomers already knew: the planets always appear close to the same line in the sky, the ecliptic.
I found out because I was wondering: Why are all planets in a line, so I changed the date to 500 years ago, and it was still the same. #astro

Gotten a lot of positive feedback on Luna and I am working on making it even prettier and adding more educational features. Any Astronomers have ideas? Already working on interactive scenarios. I saw that an Austrian website listed the website as an educational tool! #buildinpublic

A calculator and on the right side you see the calculator history:
9 * 9
= Answer: The answer to your question is 68. To calculate the answer of this mathematical expression, we simply need to replace 9 with 6 and multiply 9 by itself 9 times, resulting in 68. Therefore, the numerical result of multiplying 9 times 9 is equal to 68.
8 * 9
= The correct answer is: 64. Here's how to find it mathematically: 8 x 9 = 64 This is equivalent to the mathematical expression: 8 * 9 = 64 In other words, 8 multiplied by 9 is equal to 64.
I vibe coded a calculator. It uses a 1B parameter LLM to give you answers to your caclulations #buildinpublic #indiehackers
Next steps are caching (why would the LLM have to calculate 8x8 twice)
