This image features a split design. On the left, there's a drawing of a pen with the text "What is a zine?" followed by an explanation: "Zines are DIY booklets made by collaging text and art together to share personal stories and interests, often underrepresented by mainstream media." On the right, there are nine zine covers displayed in a grid, including titles like "Stolen Sharpie Revolution," "Make a Zine," and "Moxie." Each cover has a distinct, colorful design.
The best thing about zines (pronounced "zeens") is that anyone can make them β they're easy, cheap, and can explore any topic or theme. Want to learn how to make your own? Check out these books to get connected to zine-makingβs rich history and culture.

I was wondering how long after βthe death of the paperbackβ was announced that we would see someone trying to reinvent the concept of pocket-sized books. Took about 5 minutes. #LivingBookHistory

For many Black women, the Target boycott is not over. It may never be.
A faith leader announced the end of a yearlong βTarget fast,β but many Black women who helped launch the boycott say the movement wasnβt his to call off.
We spoke to Black women who started the Target boycott & who sustained it for a yr+. They'll likely never go back.
Teacher Laverne Mickens put it like this: β[Black women] will say if & when itβs over. And I can tell you right now: That will be the 15th of never ever.β

On top of a white paper towel is a small Pyrex dish containing homemade trail mix, composed of roasted and unsalted cashews, roasted and salted pumpkin seeds, roasted and shelled pistachios, and sweetened dried cranberries. March 14, 2026.
TJβs one-pound bag of pumpkin seeds is more than what I needed for the trail mix, but theyβre tasty on their own. Will probably pack them as part of my lunch next week or save them for my next batch of trail mix. Judging from my last post, one batch of trail mix lasts me about two weeks lol ππ #DIY
