There are some great people, @yanthomas.dev included, looking for their next adventure!
Oh hey, and me included, too! I'm not in a rush, but keeping my eye out for the right opportunity in docs or community leadership. If you've liked using or contributing to Astro, maybe part of that came from me!

Expressive Code Twoslash 0.6: New Home at StudioCMS, ESM-Only Stack
EC Twoslash finds a new home
Expressive-Code-Twoslash now lives under StudioCMS... The repo moved from MatthiesenXYZ to withstudiocms/expressive-code-twoslash. We used the move to fix long-standing module and tooling issues and to ship features that were blocked before.

For reference, I try to connect to `wss://jetstream2.us-east.bsky.network/subscribe?wantedCollections=social.colibri.message&wantedCollections=social.colibri.reaction&wantedCollections=app.bsky.actor.profile`, but I get nothing for the first two when creating records in these collections

So I've been building something really cool using the Bluesky Jetstream, but for some reason, it stopped reporting custom collections sometime in the last 24 hours. @retr0.id sorry to @ but do you have any idea why this happens?

The "export defer" TC39 proposal aims to introduce a similar optimization *at the language level*, so that you can rely on it in all the tools and environments that you might run your code with.
Just because you need one thing from a module, you shouldn't pay the cost of all the others!

@scottshambaugh I've written a detailed response about your gatekeeping behavior

Judge the code, not the coder. Your prejudice is hurting matplotlib.

Documentation is more than you think
Everything that is involved in making great documentation everywhere and all at once.
Companies invest millions in their product but treat docs as an afterthought.
I disagree, it must be a core concern.
I wrote a deep dive into what it takes to write docs loved by millions, the value it delivers, and my experience in Astro Docs.

I just found this wonderful new project and, of course, had to join the nice and friendly community right away. I'm excited to see how it will develop and am happy to contribute along the way.

Hi, Astro Maintainer here, I can speak on number 2! Rolldown will be the default with Vite 8, which we're looking to support eventually. So yes, it'll land! Just not sure when yet.

Quick clarification, not everyone is getting paid, but you get the idea, we're still mostly open source!

Them getting paid by cloudflare just reduces the financial load on the open source part. In the worst case scenario where they do actually get fired, there should still be enough resources to continue development through open funding. Anyway that's my two cencts (2/2)

Hi, Astro Maintainer here! Interesting thoughts, and I agree with the usual sentiment of "being acquired = eventual dead end". The thing is, only 4 people are actually joining cloudflare, with all other maintainers (both core and non-core) still being paid by our OpenCollective. (1/2)
