Obviously vampire’s are immortal, so he cannot die from this, BUT he enters a severely weakened state and either needs to rest for an entire month or drink blood to recover.
Downside: he does get lightheaded and the larger the object the more blood it takes, if he uses too much blood he passes out, the only way to gain that blood back, is by drinking it from a mortal human, he needs to drink the same amount from a person that he had lost and used from his own body.
Basically my idea was is that he can use his own blood to turn into objects, like knives, swords, daggers, spikes, etc, he can use them as weapons, or he can make it boil up and act as a fire ball.
Gave Orion the ability to use blood magic, because why not!!
