1. Hope for the best.
2. Prepare for the worst.
3. Remember that, when standing together with your friends and neighbors, you have more power than you know.

Voting should be as easy as possible. If someone wants to make voting harder, they don't want to prevent fraud. They just don't want you to vote.

That being said, our ability to vote doesn't matter if we don't use it.

Protect your right to vote. Use your right to vote.

On the date of her death, we want to reflect on abolitionist and suffragette Harriet Tubman, who wasn't content escaping slavery only once. Instead, she put herself in harm's way to free dozens of others.

Be the help your community needs. Be like Harriet Tubman. #WomensHistoryMonth

Why Missouri Prisons Can Be Deadly for People With Opioid Addictions In a prison system rife with drugs, a new civil rights lawsuit accuses the Missouri DOC of punishing people for addiction, rather than treating it.

There is no excuse for denying people lifesaving care and punishing them for addiction.

It's not just horrific — it's unconstitutional and discriminatory.

An image of the Statue of Liberty that says "DIGNITY, AUTONOMY, LIBERTY: for all women, everywhere."

On International Women’s Day, remember: if someone had to fight for your rights, use them.

This goes for more than voting. Women had to fight for a voice in their workplaces, churches, and communities. Go make a difference.

Non-women, actively support them. Stand up to injustice.

Most laws that impact your life exist at the local level. Yes, even in the era of a rogue DHS. Get involved locally and take back your agency. Your neighbors are counting on you.

Kristi Noem being out as head of DHS is good news, even if her successor is the same. Disruptions and disarray need to happen again and again until MAGA’s anti-human agenda is non-actionable. You have the power to make your community a welcoming space for immigrants.

What does the word “liberal” mean to you? Good connotations and bad connotations alike. There are no wrong answers.

The hardest thing our social media manager has to do this month is come up with Saint Patrick’s Day-based egalitarian messages. Any ideas, friends?

A free society requires freedom of information. The public needs to consent to be governed, and consent is all about communication.

Our institutions are only as liberal as the people who sustain them. Don’t outsource your citizenship. Be an active citizen every day.

ICE arrested me without cause. What I saw will haunt me forever. | Opinion One ICE agent, apparently referring to Renee Good, said, 'You guys gotta stop obstructing us — that's why that lesbian b---- is dead.'

Our constitutional rights haven't changed.

Despite what ICE may claim, we all have the right to record and document ICE activities in public. We're suing.
