trump says the war will be over "when I feel it in my bones."
He meant "bone spurs."
We finally got some wind. Since we had already opened the "rain turning to snow," we got to keep it at no additional charge.
trump misspoke. He meant to say, "when I feel it in my bone spurs."
Ahem. Is anyone out there expecting a weather forecast of "rain turning to snow"? We were expecting a "wind advisory" and instead we are receiving precipitation. I am well aware of the complexities involved in insuring that different areas receive their proper forecasts. Still, this is a bit much.
Truth be told, we're members of SOTA-M: Society Of The Absent-Minded. Membership is simplicity itself. All a person has to do is show up at the clubhouse and forget why they are there.
Kindred spirits? π
4/ No, I do NOT put my glasses there, nor do I put them in a pants pocket. So how, exactly, they wound up there, I have no idea.
Yup. It's Friday the 13th for sure.
3/ Ever hunt for glasses when you can't see? Porch railing and table, no luck. Hoodie pockets and shirt pocket, no. Dining room table, pass-thru, kitchen counters, bathroom sink, top of washer and dryer, no. Panic!
Then I felt pressure against my right leg. My glasses were inside the pantleg!
2/ This morning, I took a cup of coffee and the latest book I am reading out to the front porch, removed my glasses, became engrossed in the book, returned inside, made a "pit stop," and realized that I had set my glasses aside somewhere. Coffee cup and book reentered the house with me. Glasses, no.
1/ I have a bad habit of setting my glasses down absentmindedly, forgetting, and then having to retrace my steps (carefully), bending low over surfaces where I might have left them.
I am proverbially "blind as a bat" without them. Strangely, I take them off to read.
This morning, I outdid myself.
If I remember correctly, you warned about Fetterman when he ran against Conor Lamb in the Democrat primary in 2022.
We're experiencing "intermittent rain" which means the farther I am from shelter or cover, the harder the rain will fall.
Senator Husted, your divorce from reality has been completed.
Is Brian Kilmeade a complete idiot or haven't they added the finishing touches yet?
That fits nicely! π
For some reason, whenever I see the Muskovite, I am reminded of the original Star Trek TV series and episodes featuring the character, Harry Mudd. I picture Musk sentenced for life to someplace with android duplicates of all his ex-partners and children.
GA 14th Dist. Special Election is tomorrow.
Brigadier General Shawn Harris is the top Dem candidate, and I am again FURIOUS that the DCCC and DNC havenβt done a DAMNED THING to get Dems across the country to help with GOTV.
If you live in GA 14, PLEASE PLEASE vote tomorrow!
There are like 8
Good morning to all who have not found a skunk on the porch eating cat treats from the bin he opened and spilled.

In a studio far, far away, Brian Kilmeade challenges the machismo of oil tanker captains even as cohort, Lawrence Jones files for divorce from reality.
We may top 70 here in the Southern Tier tomorrow. The latter part of the week though leaves a bit to be desired. Lows in the 20s, highs only low 40s.
We're supposed to drop back into the thirties on Thursday. Otherwise we're in the 50s and 60s at least.
@tracyc.bsky.social How are things in your neck of the woods? We have temperatures approaching 60 degrees and something suspiciously akin to sunshine.
@mariablack.bsky.social Are you finally getting decent temperatures? We're in the 60 degree range today.
Maybe we should send copies to our Senators and Representatives. Scratch the "maybe."
This should be required reading for every Senator and Representative.

For those who may not be aware, our local newspaper decided yesterday's print edition was the Sunday paper, then the coffeemaker switched from 5 hours into the future to 5 hours in the past. So why not:
youtu.be/YC1E8yVJIS4?...
Sunday morning, right? It is Sunday morning, I believe, contrary to what our local newspaper's print edition tried pulling yesterday. I can only hope that when I go to check, I don't find the Monday newspaper. Otherwise, I'll be in perpetual chase mode and never catch up.
This is true. π
