Anime International Company (AIC) is a Japanese animation studio founded in 1982. It produced the OVA Black Magic M-66 and later worked on titles like Tenchi Muyo! and Bubblegum Crisis, becoming known for influential 1980s–1990s anime.

Black Magic is a cyberpunk manga created by Masamune Shirow and released in 1983. The story follows a battle between humans and powerful android weapons, exploring technology and artificial intelligence—ideas that later influenced works like Ghost in the Shell.

Hiroyuki Kitakubo is a anime director and animator known for his work in science fiction and action animation. He worked on projects such as Blood: The Last Vampire and segments of Robot Carnival, gaining recognition for dynamic action scenes and detailed animation.

Black Magic M-66 is a cyberpunk anime released in 1987 and directed by Hiroyuki Kitakubo, based on the manga by Masamune Shirow. The story follows a journalist chasing a rogue military android programmed to assassinate a girl, blending action, technology, and early cyberpunk themes.

I watch one episode a day during the week. So far we're sixteen episodes into the first season. I'm having a wonderful time watching the series.Although I gave my partner the complete SG1 and Atlantis pack years ago, we're watching the series on Netflix.
