this is the only CD I ever released on my short-lived label... wasn't expecting to see anyone post this today! some trivia: the music series at alt coffee evolved into tonic. without the scene documented on this compilation, NYC music history would be quite different.

Alysia Liu gave us something that all the disgusting monsters running this mess of a country/world will never understand: joy. I'm not into figure skating either but everyone should see what this incredible person did yesterday. First time I felt anything positive seeing a USA flag in MANY years.

The Wong Kar-Wai mini-fest at the long-gone Chinatown theater by the Manhattan bridge. Pretty sure that was the first time any of his films were screened in nyc.
I just saw the program for Steve Drury's upcoming solo recital at Jordan Hall. He's playing Wolff's "Hay una Mujer Desaparecida (after Holly Near)" and Rzewski's "The People United Will Never Be Defeated." I'll say this for Steve, he knows what time it is.
