It's wild to me that this all existing without the added context that the County is no longer using Emergency Assistance funds to cover missed-month rent or damage/security deposits as of 3/7/26. So people's options are even more limited, something Frey undoubtably knows.

My little mutual aid team has fundraised over $250,000 in rent support over the last 3 months JUST for families at our neighborhood school.

$1 million for the whole city does NOT come close to meeting the scale and depth of need in our city.
