A strong local economy with a mix of businesses can help to make places feel active and attractive. Access to good quality jobs, volunteering and training can help us to

What makes a good place?
Overview
This questionnaire is asking about where you live in Edinburgh:
How would you score it?
What you like about it?
What would make it better?
It covers the key things that make a good place to live such as housing, local shops and services, healthcare, open space, play, community space, jobs and public
transport.
You can answer the questions as an individual or as a group.
You don’t have to answer all the questions or provide detailed answers.
It will take 10 minutes to complete
Why do we want to know?
We are starting to think about the plans for how Edinburgh develops and changes in the future.
We know that Edinburgh is not just one place, but it is made up of many different areas. Each area has its good points, bad points and challenges.
We will use the results of this questionnaire to get an understanding of each area and what we need to plan for: what needs to be protected and what might be needed.

Enough.

Awesome to see this billboard up in Vancouver.
Was really incredible to work with the people at @visionzerovancouver.ca to bring this to life.

Used upgraded NCN1 cycle route into Dundee yesterday collecting our Renticy UA. This bit at Broughty Ferry. Seemed pretty good example of what can be done at a coastal location. @sustransscot.bsky.social Sold a UA cargo there last year to resident due to this. @spokes.org.uk @dundeecycling.co.uk

McDonald's says their new restaurant will be accessible to cyclists. What it will actually do is create a dangerous junction crossing Dundee's only serious cyclepath. It should not be given permission. @dundeecitycouncil.bsky.social @dundeecycling.co.uk

shifted some Ikea goods today 30km between Dundee + Arbroath with a Bullit + Carla - 90% totally fine - some speed gate issues and daft parking - Arbroath's Places For Everyone Scheme will be fantastic when completed - shame Dundee hasn't got something similar in the city centre/ Perth Road

The IWD 2025 campaign theme is 'Accelerate Action'. We ask planners to build infrastructure that's safe & comfortable for women & girls. Many groups have ridden, campaigned, and yet Edinburgh hasn't seen the change it needs as a city to thrive. How can we accelerate action?
