The other thing was the stand-up-and-read scene at the end, it was just unnecessary and forced melodrama. Although this is probably very much where the “I’m not the target audience” factor comes into play. And that’s ok! More Trek for everyone.

I make 1s and 0s as a technical product manager and software engineer. I used to (and still do!) write words. Once caught a level 21 Pikachu, it was awesome. Minneapolis. Consultant. Ex: Blizzard, Penske, AOL All opinions are mine.

Honestly. Some real Next Gen-level character centric SciFi story telling going on. But way way way too much for one episode, enough so that it detracts from what is (sans one other thing) perfect.
It could have been Inner Light level.
Still good Trek, however!
Catching up on Starfleet Academy. The Life of the Stars is BY FAR the best of the series so far. It’s a mix of “JFC they better not be doing a Tasha Yar thing,” to dropping my jaw, to bemoaning “why are they trying to tell three stories in one episode, this needs to be told over half a season.”

Playing with having copilot running while setting up a new makefile. It's relatively helpful at remembering syntax!
But then it suggests stuff like this:
rm -rf build/*.o examples/*.o examples/* libavsuldotso
Um... that rm would have deleted all my example source code without asking. lol @ "AI"
I’m not going to post the picture of Orange Hitler wearing a hat during a dignified transfer ceremony. It’s honestly one of the most offensive things I’ve seen him do.
Yes, I know he’s done way worse every other day of his miserable life, but some ceremonies hold actual value. This is one of them.
Nintendo lawyers are the good guys. Thanks, universe. You win again.
The earth should eject humanity off the planet.
Oh god, I can’t unsee that now.
It was *50* yesterday. it's just not fair 😭
It snowed again.
lol no
I've been running gdcparties.com for a few years now. Some shitty company BlueberryAI decided they'd just take all the source code for the work I've done and reskin it, advertising it as their own. Jokes on them...it was still linked to my events spreadsheet, and now their website looks like this 😉
I played through two games. Each got killed on the last boss of level 3. Huge fun. A great mix of new, modified, and old cards to play.
Slay the Spire 2 is going to exceed people’s expectations. That’s really really fucking hard to do in the gaming industry these days.
A Reductress post features a photo of Kristi Noem with the headline, “Kristi Noem Put Down for Being Too Hard to Train”

My reaction was the same as many, I’m sure:
Fuck this guy.
(The subject being Orange Hitler, incase this isn’t something you say on a daily and/or hourly basis.)
Never actually installed the google cloud cli client myself until tonight.
Damn, that is a really great console installer. A+. Respect where respect is due.
T'Pol from Enterprise is pictured. She's standing in a cargo bay, camera is looking up at her. She looks serious, as per usual. Closed caption reads, "How's your dog?" (Also everything is very blue because I suck at taking TV screenshots)
Everyone collectively went "Well, I mean, it fits, I gather."
lol steam crashing due to Slay The Spire 2?
Buying is erroring out.
I regret that my technology was ever used to help perpetuate the ideology that led to… whatever the hell this is.
We're looking to add some writers to our team, plus an artist to do some merch designs for us! If you're interested, please send in an app! I like to think we are pretty fun to work with, but I may also be biased.
Awoooooo
Friend just told me about the rumours of Win12 being subscription-based.
And as a fossil who who lived before personal computers were mainstream, I say:
