I make 1s and 0s as a technical product manager and software engineer. I used to (and still do!) write words. Once caught a level 21 Pikachu, it was awesome. Minneapolis. Consultant. Ex: Blizzard, Penske, AOL All opinions are mine.
The other thing was the stand-up-and-read scene at the end, it was just unnecessary and forced melodrama. Although this is probably very much where the “I’m not the target audience” factor comes into play. And that’s ok! More Trek for everyone.
Honestly. Some real Next Gen-level character centric SciFi story telling going on. But way way way too much for one episode, enough so that it detracts from what is (sans one other thing) perfect.
It could have been Inner Light level.

Catching up on Starfleet Academy. The Life of the Stars is BY FAR the best of the series so far. It’s a mix of “JFC they better not be doing a Tasha Yar thing,” to dropping my jaw, to bemoaning “why are they trying to tell three stories in one episode, this needs to be told over half a season.”

I've been running gdcparties.com for a few years now. Some shitty company BlueberryAI decided they'd just take all the source code for the work I've done and reskin it, advertising it as their own. Jokes on them...it was still linked to my events spreadsheet, and now their website looks like this 😉
