Me sitting.
Buenos dias. Think the jetlag is passed. Onto the regular horrors.
as in the bone broth is excellent for the pain, not the pain. Lol.
A teapot sits with a teacup and a cup of vegan broth by siip, and The Odyssey by Homer translated by Emily Wilson.
5 months & 22 days sober. Since I don't have knee cartilage any more I make do for the pain. It's excellent. Bone broth is the new thing (roasted chicken has been my go-to). Tonight I try the vegan version with my night tea.
Hopeless Romantic books and @littleghostsbooks.bsky.social at Union Station as a treat. #Toronto
After my trip I am immersed! Movie in July!
Emily Wilson's translation of Homer's THE ODYSSEY.
It's time. π
Just offer more flights to other places. The US should be economically sanctioned.

Oh man, I do. The thrill of it.
The London Wall at Barbican.
I worded that weird. I do not have a sub for the Standard, just the lrb. Anyways, how could I not be obsessed about brutalism surrounding an ancient Roman wall!
The Barbican Estate (I'm obsessed) by Stefi Orazi sits on the LTB and the London Standard.
Since my head is still adjusting to the time zone, I finished work hours early this morning. Onto reading on brutalism, (checked my mailbox for the lrb), and an art column in the London Standard, which I picked up before getting on the underground to the airport.
apologies for all the posts I've been trying to keep myself awake for kiddo and the dogs.
This is my fave dish from Petrus: l chicken consommΓ© you are to have before the chicken liver parfait, and then have the brioche with whipped butter for the full experience according to the chef.
Ok. Jet lag is about to hit again, just as I'm trying to learn this delectable chicken consommΓ© dish we had at Petrus by Gordon Ramsay (which I most likely will fuck up). Zzzzz or yum, brain, make up your mind.
Je suis tellement contente que tu aies Γ©tΓ© lΓ et que tu aies aidΓ© le chien!
Really hoping Petro survives and pushes Ivan Cepeda into a future win. The alternative is not so great.
The goth bar I took kiddo to (which has the famous Underworld club attached to it), used to be named after this local witch that may still haunt the place. www.davidcastleton.net/mother-damna...
I love the many little ancient, and historic churches tucked into London's modern architecture. Some going back to the 7th century. π€
The chapel at St Etheldreda's.
St Etheldreda's sign outside this hard to find ancient little church.
The crypt in basement holds events, but supposedly holds relics.
One of the many, many things I was obsessed with visiting, and did, was St Etheldreda's at Ely Place. www.stetheldreda.co.uk/about-3
Movie posters for MUSIC & LYRICS, KING ARTHUR: LEGEND OF THE SWORD, AM I OK, LEGEND.
Late on my #LetterboxdFriday #LastFourWatched
Fuck yeah I went here too. For my son. www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fo6a...
Thank you, London, for showing my beautiful daughter a good time. They played Oasis at the airport bar as we left! Love you!!!π¬π§
Having consumed both British black pudding and Colombian morcilla (both by a British-Colombian!) in London...both great, but morcilla has my heart. π¬π§ π¨π΄
London planetrees in Millbank
Serendipity.
Kiddo in front of The World's End pub in Camden Town.
Both of us ready for lunch at the bar. They had Lucky Saint non-alc which is swell.
Word on the Water at Regent's Canal.
Me giddy inside. Boat cat ear just by my throat. Tee hee.
My baby's first goth bar and mommy's first book barge. #London
Egyptian Geese having a little waddle in the Victoria Tower Gardens.
WE SAW A FOX! WE SAW A FOX! And these Egyptian geese. #WildLondon
Me in front of 28 Campden Road.
Plaque outside of the flat saying James lived here in 1931
The outside of the flat.
Busy, but just wanted to pop in to say SCREAMS IN #JAMESJOYCE. 28 Campden Grove (or Grave, as Joyce used to call it), was his marital home with Nora. He wasn't fond of the neighborhood, as all Joyce wanted to do was visit Stonehenge. He eventually did. This is my 3rd Joycean site in my life so far.
