This young man, who appeared to be a minor, was walking down the street with a snack in his hand when masked men, in three tinted vehicles, identifying as armed Border Patrol agents pulled up to him 1/3
After he was unable to produce documentation proving his citizenship, agents forcibly detained him. As he was being taken away, the young man asked, “Can I just go home?” An agent responded, “No, you are not going home,” before taking him into one of their vehicles. 3/3
and began questioning him in Spanish about his citizenship. The encounter took place in Minneapolis, where he was stopped while alone, without any parent, guardian, or family member present. It is unclear whether anyone knew where he was or what was happening to him. 2/3
