Yep, there is no official limit like +25 C for helle. Something like -35 C? Although probably historically there have been longer cold spells than in recent years.
Number of consecutive days with very cold temperatures would also be interesting. I don't remember any cold spells this long in the last 20 years. We already made the record in the length of heat wave last summer in Sodankylä, will this now become a record long cold spell?

Ihan paras keksintö lasten peliajan hallintaan: se pitää tienata lukemalla kirjoja. Välillä lukevat "yliaikaa" kun eivät malta lopettaa hyvää kirjaa. Silti ehtivät pelata jonkun tunnin Fortnitea päivässä ja harrastaa urheiluakin. #kirjataivas

This is probably not only the longest heatwave in Lapland, but also the longest heatwave ever observed in Finland.
Note that here a heatwave is defined with 3 consecutive days above 90th percentile, which is scientifically robust definition.
When I moved to Sodankylä twenty years ago, the 30-year average was 3 days of >25 C a year.

Kesä 2024 oli Sodankylässä lämpimin 2000 vuoteen. Ilmastonmuutoksen vaikutus heinäkuun keskilämpötilaan +2,1 C. Ilman ilmastonmuutosta näin lämmin kesä olisi toistunut vain kerran noin 1 400 vuodessa, nykyään kerran 16 vuodessa.
