I have never spent more than $30 on replacement joycons and each ones I've gotten have lasted me about 3 years before they have issues

This is why I only buy off-brand joycons

I have so many fewer issues with them and I don't have amiibos so I dont need NFC reader capabilities

It isnt that its impossible to make a more durable joycon, Nintendo/their manufacturers make more money if u have to buy new controllers all the time
