what i rlly like about danmei is that it feels way more common for them to refer as another was "my wife". theres something awesome about seeing a grown man calling another grown man my wife.
It's nice learning about the different terms too. Like in olden times you might see them being referred to as 内子 as in "the person in my house" (not literal tl, just my understanding of what it means).

Ahh that's good. Actually I did listen to a bit of the QJJ audio drama, till their first time together. I'm actually particular when it comes to plot and because I already watched some highly acclaimed political c-dramas, QJJ's was not grabbing me that much haha
