This recently happened to us, with similar tells… infuriating.. you can see how it unfolded in the public peer review file: static-content.springer.com/esm/art%3A10...
<sigh>
One reviewer used AI to review our manuscript.
How do we know?
Suggested papers to cite that do not exist. Some titles correct, but everything else is wrong or just fabricated out of whole cloth.
Requested citations for things I’ve said in review papers that were citing other papers.
#czechcellence on tap
That is rather neat. Congratulations!
🚨 Our new paper is out! 🙌
Bioorthogonal reactions often create bulky, non-native linkages-great for labeling, but not ideal for installing natural PTMs.
We combine GCE with a chemoselective amide-bond forming reaction to install site-specific acylation PTMs.

That is really nice to say, many thanks! As to the new work: We like it in the lab & are pretty excited... but of course you all will have to judge for yourself, we're somewhat biased 😉.
Yep, that is a good one.
Exciting new work on inter-organelle lipid transfer, from our always-friends and sometimes-collaborators in the Conibear lab at UBC:

You are finishing your PhD and looking to continue in science?
The Martin lab @biology-unige.bsky.social has an open postdoctoral position in cell biology to study cell-cell fusion. For more information, please consult mocel.unige.ch/research-gro....
Thanks for reposting!
I believe that I can guarantee that you will *not* have guessed this potential antiviral mechanism or even thought about it before:
Looking forward! I am, in fact, preparing a new talk with tons of unpublished data, you're not getting the same old from me 😉
By altering the growth environment, the group of @merihuchlab.bsky.social @mpi-cbg.de with first authors Javier Bregante & Flaminia Kaluthantrige has developed a liver model that extensively mimics the heterogeneity of the real organ. @cp-cellreports.bsky.social. www.mpi-cbg.de/news-outreac...
Amazing!!!
🤩to see this behemoth of a story out !
Pushed by @nikobiota.bsky.social & the Amazing @embl.org AML Team (Tina, Michael, Paulina) and in Co. with the Best #science #family you can dream of!
This truck was #home, for weeks in a row & in my heart for a lifetime.

well... I have thoughts. @leventallab.bsky.social will have thoughts too. @jamessaenz.bsky.social and @lipid.bsky.social might as well. @ibudin.bsky.social ...
Ever wondered how to quantify the spatial relationship between different species (eg cell co/trilocalisation)? Lovely working with this interdisciplinary team — math @nerdarajan.bsky.social @tomchaplin.xyz @majirouses.bsky.social meets oncology @leedham-simon.bsky.social @joshuabull.bsky.social
This is a fantastic #biophysics job opportunity to join us in Dresden @mpipks.bsky.social! Apply by the 3rd of April!
We are very excited to share a new resource from our team: spatial subcellular proteome maps in plants! We developed an MS-based method that registers localizations of about 8000 proteins in Arabidopsis roots in a single experiment.

That seems to be an important protein - congrats!
Excited to share what we uncovered using in-tissue cryo-ET in mouse liver: a structural snapshot of lipid droplet biogenesis in situ. Timely reading—particularly after a lipid-rich Chinese New Year😂 The lipid homeostasis story governed by CLCC1 with more details here: www.nature.com/articles/s41...

An argument that medicinal chemists should spend more effort on making more potent compounds:
What a stunner. And what a plot twist halfway through. This is a truly amazing story. Congratulations!!
