Thanks. Visited the site many many years ago.
(1/2) 37 years ago today I submitted my proposal for the World Wide Web π. Today, Rosemary & I spoke with students in New Orleans at Walter Isaacson's Digital History Class @tulaneu.bsky.social. I was asked, as I often am, if I ever could have foreseen where weβd be today. I could not.
The image presents a report indicating significant media bias against Muslims in the UK, highlighting negative portrayals and specific outlets.
We have a real problem in this country with how the press portrays and writes about Muslims.
This story is just another example of that.
It will be no surprise if you follow my work that the Telegraph and Daily Mail are two of the worst offendersπ

Daily Mail Headline: Pupils' drawings could be blasphemous under Islamic law, Labour councils tell schools - while music and dance classes may go against the teachings of Islam
Oh boy! What a headline...
Ask yourself:
"What am I being asked to believe?"
"Who am I being told to blame?"
Take a few seconds to imagine what the Daily Mail (And Telegraph, GB News and Express) WANT you to think is going on.
Let's see what's ACTUALLY happening...π§΅

One of my favourite books growing up. A trilogy I think.
That's like saying Igor Tudor has the full support of the Spurs board.
Martin Lewis has/had a nice explainer somewhere. I always find that the people who say "I can't accept that, it's not legal tender" are the same who would invoke the Magna Carta.
Just listened to the audiobook of this and it is fantastic. If you like rock n roll, London in the early 70s, squalor, squats, booze, parties, failure, and fights, all described with a kind of machine gun bravado, you will love this. It is a HOOT. www.penguin.co.uk/books/430204...
Surely the easiest answer is, time machine, and...
Not sure this would work - can giant oil carry a donkey?
I've got 700 Jerry cans after the last shortage. Keep 'em next to the fireworks, and the south-facing window, by my collection of antique magnifying glasses.

Isn't this the way it should be? Are rules are generally based on "err on the side of caution" e.g. proof beyond reasonable doubt; it's better to sign off someone who isn't ill, than not sign off someone who is.

Why don't they just order the oil on Amazon?
I see the National Trust are still offering me my "last chance to win a beaver wetland tour".
Are we not putting Lee Anderson on the newly-devised 30p coin?
Not sure why we can't recall the on loan players - Moore, Solomon and Vuskovic at least, but I don't understand all the rules. Hopefully Souza and Destiny will be available.

I've approached each game recently with a "I've a sneaking suspicion that *this* time...."
Like, Sunday, if you watched how poorly they defended in Turkey, Liverpool look like they'll concede. If we can only muster 11 fit players (CR and JP might be ruled out by concussion protocol).
Another great story of the successes of privatisation. Add to the water companies, energy, comms, ...
Thank you Tories!

Related to the Clacton Grifter? π
This is "British values" writ large. An MP makes a statement about a proposed change to our dosh, and the answers are just puns on the word 'badger'.
This is what we want.
