My point is that Democrats should utilize Republican tactics just long enough to undo the damage that has been done to the country by them, then legislate such measures out of existence so they can't be further abused by anyone. At the very least, the latter should be a high priority.

Among the many things that @housedemocrats.bsky.social and/or @democrats.senate.gov need to do when they regain the majority(s) is to use this standard to strip Fox News and other nakedly right-wing broadcasters of their licenses, and then reinstate the Fairness Doctrine.

Of course, I ignore the emails. This isn't my first rodeo with spearphishing scammers in the past decade (just the most specifically focused on what is supposed to be confidential government PII). And I have no money to send or be stolen, anyway, so there's that; Lyme disease has consumed it all.

I've had a recent uptick in the number of extortion emails threatening to release my SSN and other government PII on the dark web unless I fork over a bitcoin payment, and I hold those DOGE punks (& Musk) personally responsible. In fact, it wouldn't surprise if it was one of them sending the emails.
