I used to have a step grandfather who would drive to Canada because the gas was cheaper there. It was only a few miles but you did have to pay a toll to get there.

I very much wanted Kamala Harris to win and I very much believed she made serious mistakes in her campaign. That is her job (and, yes, her advisors etc), and my heart sank lower each time I heard some new Republican endorsement. Because I knew she was going to lose.
