Its a very odd problem because I dont know what can be done about it, I really dont. I genuinely think the best move for FE is to invest in a remake of an already known game. I know people want FE5 but I really think Awakening needs to be remade for consoles.

In Pokemon terms, its like Pokemon colosseum getting insanely popular and becoming the best selling game in the series, the game that people associate with Pokemon, but every game after it being your typical Pokemon game. Theyre just different in too many but too little ways.

Like Engage sold fine and is decently well liked and it scored well but the problem with having a game like 3H is now everything is compared to it but nothings ever gonna be like it because it is by design the black sheep of the franchise. It’s a different take.

and infinitely more accessible. FW is really its last shot and while I think it will sell well I don’t see why it will sell more than Engage as of right now. Fire Emblem is in a weird slump of inactivity in my personal opinion; it’s essentially just comfortably coasting.

Ultimately, FEH is shrinking and no matter how many individual people spend ludicrous amounts of money on it, no new players was always going to be its death; thats why the CYL participation is so important and why recursively the main games reflect back on FEH’s popularity despite FEH being free-

The game has been bleeding players. This isn’t a shock tbh; most games are lucky to make it to 5 years, let alone almost 10. Im surprised it lasted this long with how much stupid shit they added but nostalgia, sex appeal and fomo can make the loyal fans pay.
