Looking forward to the Joey Beltram, Global Communication, Dopplereffekt segment
How do I mute the word "oscar" and only allow Oscar discussion from On Cinema at the Cinema?
Image from "Farscape: The Peacekeeper Wars" EP2, a reference to the end of the movie 2001
I wonder if they created the set from 2001 on Farscape or if it was just some CGI stuff.
(Last Farscape tweet, I swear.)
Farscape. FX by The Jim Henson Company
And you know there's a ton of nostalgia when you see the Jim Henson logo
Maaan, I love Farscape. The series and "The Peacekeeper Wars" are up there with ST:DS9, Star Wars, etc.
It has so much personality and character.
Some acoustic autechre walking outside music by @shaneparish.bsky.social
Audio friends, you may want to check back into Mastodon. I didn't know they allow direct posting of audio. No encoding with a mp4 or anything like that, just a direct upload.
More importantly, Sean from AE is on there and sometimes puts up some unreleased stuff.
Here's my site: mastodon.cloud/@d01
Also impressive is the way the harsh textures have weight and intention.
Nasty, experimental, tonal. I love stuff like this.
Shadow Dancer's "unreleased" compilations are a very satisfying listen. A variety of electronic styles are represented with aplomb. The 97-98 tracks, for instance, still sound so fresh. shadowdancermusic.bandcamp.com/album/1997-1...
If you wanted to purchase my latest album, "PRESET", now is a good time. It's $5 for 15 tracks.
By the way, I set the rest of my catalog to free/pay what you want, for now.
Thanks for your support, so far!
Have you ever watched Farscape? No? Now's a good time to fix that. It's one of my favorite sci-fi space-operas. I rank it among the best of the genre. www.youtube.com/playlist?lis...
Gear/software was/is very influential, but the artists I listened to really shaped those versions of me.
I'm definitely very happy to be where I am.
Artistic development is crazy. I went from Amber/Tri-Repetae type stuff starting in 2001-2005, then more weird sorta hiphop stuff, to some very linear BoC stuff from 2006-2010 ("The Monomachine/Machinedrum Years")...and now?
Short Digitone thing, demonstrating my (d) Tones soundpack I did for Elektron. Patch is called "ayytonal" (with a nod to AFX, of course)
That's so cool that they are cross-platform like that.
I became a patron of @airwindows.com ! I use the plugins on every-damn-thing. From reverb, to distortion, to clippers and mastering; AW is in there somewhere.
elektron syntakt 1.4 upgrade includes sample player
The Elektron Syntakt is essentially a "best of" compilation of all of their best machines.
Thanks for that info. I'm already set as far as emulated/inspired reverbs go (via Airwindows), anyway. Still, I love projects like this.
One of my favorite AFX tracks of all-time. But was it a 303? 99% sure, but a 202 has those same slides...

Acid is eternal
Yess, very nice. I miss combo fx.
Happy 303 day to those who celebrate. youtu.be/Bo2Go2LT7hs...
For some reason, my local library had an astounding array of industrial CDs and tapes. This, and Response Frequency, were among them.
I love these guys. Frontline Assembly, Noise Unit, or just Bill and Rhys. '89 industrial, more on the commercial-sounding side of things.

New Order - Technique (luggage)
Going on vacation. See you guys later
Oh man, that's record is a thing of beauty!
Definitely channeling Clarence Boddiker in this role
I mean, he's straight up evil!
