Daily Mail Headline: Pupils' drawings could be blasphemous under Islamic law, Labour councils tell schools - while music and dance classes may go against the teachings of Islam
Oh boy! What a headline...
Ask yourself:
"What am I being asked to believe?"
"Who am I being told to blame?"
Take a few seconds to imagine what the Daily Mail (And Telegraph, GB News and Express) WANT you to think is going on.
Let's see what's ACTUALLY happening...π§΅

π You have a successful and scurrilous career as a pop fiction novelist ahead of you.
Or Reverse UK
Donβt tell Dan Brown. I fear another terrible novel would quickly be on its way.
Screenshot of a Truth Social post from Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) reading: βShort term oil prices, which will drop rapidly when the destruction of the Iran nuclear threat is over, is a very small price to pay for U.S.A., and World, Safety and Peace. ONLY FOOLS WOULD THINK DIFFERENTLY!President DJTβ
Trump is insulting all those, including British families, worried about his illegal war driving up their energy bills.
Enough is enough. Keir Starmer must show Trump the UK wonβt be pushed around and call off the Kingβs state visit.
I just emailed my MP through the #CleanWaterNow campaign π calling for a new water law to stop pollution and restore rivers, lakes and seas. Every voice matters β will you join me? action.friendsoftheearth.uk/target/clean...
I'm forced to the conclusion that a certain type of pro-Israeli Western Christian doesn't actually see the place as real, and certainly doesn't see the Christians of the Middle East whose lives have been made much, much harder by the policies they back.
It's just a sort of apocalyptic theme park.
Given Trump's illegal war that is devastating the Middle East and pushing up energy bills, Keir Starmer should advise the King to call off Aprilβs state visit to the US.
A state visit should not be given to someone who repeatedly insults and damages our country.
We need safe and legal routes for refugees.
George Monbiot explains whatβs often missing in the debate about asylum seekers and refugees: "My worry is that we end up talking about what's good for us and forget about what's good for people."
So, Johnson, Farage, Badenoch, the Telegraphβ¦ howl about the UK being βan irrelevance on the world stageβ.
Remind me again who decided to isolate us with a strategically and economically idiotic Brexit, relying on a trade deal with the US to save us from exactly the kind of weakness they now bemoan.
It is when it comes from a president who is clearly no Roosevelt.
Could you ask each party leader for a response*, to be read out on your programme? Non-responses will be reported and may be regarded as evasion.
* responses should be no more than fifty words, though the simplest and most honest could be just two words, starting with Joe and ending with Biden.
We should be asking British politicians this question. Answers provide a powerful indicator of integrity. Not sure Iβve ever heard it put to Farage, for example.
Reform fury as someone else wins by Our By-election Editor Tim Shipsink The losing candidate in the Gorton and Denton by-election, Matt Goodwhinge, has demanded an immediate re-run of the election on the grounds that he lost comprehensively to someone else. "It's totally unfair and rigged," said Goodwhinge. "I shouldn't be required to sit there and suck it up, just because I lost." Mr Goodwhine continued, *I can't believe that all those voters I demonised failed to back me. Especially after I was endorsed by Tommy Robinson and ten million Russian bots on X. "We have clear evidence of family voting, where people voted in order for me to stop deporting their families." Mr Badloser concluded. "I'm the victim of colour prejudice. They didn't vote for me simply because I'm not green." Reform leader Mr Farage, speaking from a sun lounger on a rock near the Chagos Islands said, "It's a tragedy that the people of Manchester won't see Matt in Westminster, but my constituents don't see me in Clacton either." Beautiful from Private Eye on the massive toddler-tantrum that Matt Goodwin and Reform are having, because they got whooped in Gorton and Denton.
As the BBC has sought to justify its coverage on the basis of opinion polls, can we assume that there has been a pro rata reduction in the amount of time allocated to Reform UK?
Lib Dem Leader Ed Davey:
"Tax exiles like Isabel Oakeshott and washed up old footballers who mock ordinary people who stay in the UK and pay our taxes... As we protect them, it's only right for tax exiles to start paying taxes to fund our armed forces, just like the rest of us".
Perhaps the VAR review of the presentation - which must be nearly complete after three months - will disallow it anyway.
Well, itβs not remotely enticing, so I guess they cut out the risk that no one would click through.
The Mailβs front page headline and photo of Farage usually conveys the whole of its main message for the day.
Kind of incredible. I was just sitting down to write about how Starmer should be given credit for keeping us out of this mess when he does this. Unutterably foolish and obsequious. Why in God's name should we have anything to do with this shortsighted madness.
The government is too afraid of Farage to say anything sensible or constructive. It just needs a bit of moral courage to voice an alternative message free from the far rightβs narrative.
Playing the victim, as usual. Canβt get a millionaireβs bank account at Coutts - Iβm a victim. Accused of racist bullying by 34 school contemporaries - Iβm the victim here. Lose a by-election to the Greens - weβre the victims.

Truly, truly, truly disgusting.
Keep this Trumpist race baiting out of British politics.
And sought $100m from Elon Musk, and happily cheers on the US President who intends to push far right governments on Europe.
As long as we have FPTP, it will always come down to which of the top two in your constituency you dislike less. If youβre lucky, you might genuinely support one of the two.
These people are poison. They will unleash racist thugs on the streets of this country and call it security. They will subjugate us to the US and call it patriotism. They must be stopped. There is no more important task in politics.
I've just written to my MP asking them to attend the Brexit Referendum Anniversary Debate. You can do the same in just two minutes: www.europeanmovement.co.uk/contact-mp-e...
The misinformation and outright lying in politics comes at least as much from certain politicians outside government, sections of the media and a wide range of social media users. Restricting this law to ministers would give the impression that they are less honest than others, which is untrue.
