Fossil bryozoan under the microscope
I am becoming fascinated with encrusting organisms as microfossils and windows into ancient ecological interactions. Here we have a tiny bryozoan (I think) growing on a brachiopod shell over 300 million years ago. Collected from Alpena Michigan by yours truly.
