To make a long story short, I scoured through the contract I signed and let's just say that I did not realise allowing my work and its likeness to be used by "future artist" in any renditions would include shoving my whole portfolio I did for them through a genAI
The credit now read "Our Art Team"
Every illustrations I've done for them were not full commercial renders, I've done mostly cell-shaded sketches and silhouette works, even as more and more AI encroached upon art territory, I never thought something like my work would be affected.
I did some concept designs for a massive part of a project as an outsourced part-timer for an expansion to a small MMO at the end of 2022, it went great. I thought nothing of it
Last year, I checked in on the MMO thinking I could use it in my portfolio and my name and works has been replaced...
