Scottie Barnes in the 3rd Quarter vs. Indy:
9:19 13 pts 6/7 8 Reb 4 Ast 2 Blk +23
Yeesh. Dominant.
One of the more obnoxious look back dunks Scottie has done lol
SPACING!
Good roll by CMB, draws foul
Steal by CMB
Steal by Shead, breakaway layup
Nice feed by CMB to BI, And-1
Steal by Mamu, breakaway layup
Shead long pass to Mamu, corner 3
Barnes nice feed to a rolling CMB
Corner 3 by Shead
Raptors up 3.
Love the spacing, assertiveness and confidence of the BI/SB + bench lineups. That Indy group during this stretch was inexperienced. At the same time, Shead, CMB & Mamu have been consistently bringing this for Toronto.

After a tough start, Torontoβs starting 5 of Quickley-RJ-Ingram-Barnes-Jak are finally a positive lineup.
Theyβre +1.3!!!
"Evan Mobley over me!?"
Scottie Barnes, probably.
One of my favourite Scottie sequences from last night.
-Goes under on the screen for Mobley (Raps were daring him to shoot all night to help on Mitchell)
-Rotates over to take away Mitchell's middle drive
-Recovers and blocks Mobley's wing 3
-Chugs down the floor for the layup
Collin Murray-Boyles' steals & blocks this season. Watch him the entire time...
-He's locked in. Head on a swivel, very rarely standing still, & if so, he's reading the play.
-Anticipation is superb. Putting out fires, his timing creates turnovers
-Man hands, busy feet + physicality
Here are the 4 guys who take the most pull up 2s in the NBA...
Shai Gilgeous Alexander 52/103 - 50%
Jaylen Brown 44/86 51%
Devin Booker 42/82 - 51%
Brandon Ingram 46/80 57.5% (π₯)
Jamal Shead has a +13.2 on/off differential in 168 mins
Sandro Mamukelashvili has a +19.3 on/off differential in 176 mins
Shead has been so disruptive at the POA, both are hitting their 3s and contribute to a tempo/toughness uptick when theyβre on the floor.
Brandon Ingram is shooting 21/35 (60%), from the midrange, the most efficient in the NBA of the 8 players who have taken at least 30 middyβs so far.
Middy Magician βοΈ
Collin Murray-Boyles is averaging 1.40 PPP on 1.8 FGA as a PnR Roller.
Early days! With that said, impressed with his screening fundamentals. Point of contact, patience, the savvy nudge he gives to delay defenders and his overall comfort/footwork in traffic.
Watching Brandon Ingram look at who's guarding him, give him the Johnny Cage look and proceed to get buckets WILL NOT get old AT ALL this season.
Stilling making spot starts on the Raptors Show with Blake covering the Jays.
Talked to Matt about the season opener. Lots to like on both ends!

A moment.
Mamu drives from midcourt for a layup, hits a 3 after the Celtics double Scottie. Then a grab and go, entry pass to Scottie, who gets a deep seal and an easy bucket.
MAMU! He's gonna be fun this season.
STARTING FIVE | Oct. 15 at Boston:
Brandon Ingram
Scottie Barnes
Jakob Poeltl
RJ Barrett
Immanuel Quickley
FINALLY!
LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOUUUDDDDDDDDDDD first out for Little. Phew
NATHAN LUKES
Eric Lauer:
VLADDY SUPERMAN SLIDE DRINK
Give the Yankees credit. They are, after all, currently outscoring Vladimir Guerrero Jr. 9-8 in the series.
October Vladdy is finally here! Give the man his flowers. #ALDS
COME ON MAN HAHAHA #PLAKATA
That swing pass from CMB to Sandro, though. He didn't waste a second with that.
Like the spontaneous double here that leads to a dunk. His unique size and speed shows off at the 5 at times.
It's all going to be circumstantial, but I love Scottie playing the 5 sometimes. He's so disruptive and helps the Raptors play faster.
The matchup won't always be there, but when it is and he's open to owning it, it's a fun option for TO.
